We also offer these additional services:

COMMERCIAL INSPECTION
To meet the needs of proprietors and investors, we offer professional third-party evaluations of commercial spaces. Whether you’re opening a small business or considering the acquisition of a large multi-family residence, Vitale Inspection Services will provide you with the insight you need to make an informed decision. We’ll carefully inspect the commercial building’s structure and installed mechanical systems to give you a better understanding of the overall condition.

RADON TESTING
Deep beneath your home, radon gas could be forming from natural breakdown processes of rock and soil. If radon is able to escape from the surface, it’s possible for it to infiltrate your living space through cracks in the foundation and other points of entry. Radon is a known carcinogen, and in its gaseous form, it’s both odorless and invisible—making it impervious to conventional means of detection. Fortunately, our radon specialists are certified to test your home for radon using state-of-the-art instruments.

WOOD DESTROYING INSECTS
Wood destroying insects such as termites can inflict serious damage to a home. Often, the damage isn’t immediately apparent until a trained eye can take a closer look. Our inspectors are certified to test for termites, investigating suspect areas of a property for damage from previous infestations while also searching for any signs of an ongoing problem.

OIL TANK SWEEP
For older homes in the Northeast, it’s possible that oil was once the primary heating source. The oil was stored in large underground tanks, that over years of disuse, can deteriorate and develop hazardous leaks—posing an environmental risk and a financial burden for homeowners. In many cases, the existence of a tank is undisclosed to buyers. In an Oil Tank Sweep, we’ll schedule an electronic scan of a property to check for the presence of an underground tank.

LEAD TESTING
Our lead inspectors are certified to conduct visual and dust sampling inspections for all homes, but specifically for rentals that were built before 1978. All of these rentals require this testing at the tenant change over or every 2 years!

CHIMNEY/LVL 1 & LVL 2 + DRONE INSP.
The chimney inspection focuses on the readily accessible and visible components of the venting system, connected appliances, enclosing structure, and the flue to ensure that no restrictions or blockages have developed over time.

SEWER LINE INSPECTION
We use a small but high-quality camera at the end of a scope to inspect sewer lines. We will insert the scope into an accessible trap and snake it down through the line while we inspect the image on a monitor.

STUCCO INSPECTION
The first part of the Stucco Inspection process is a visual, non-invasive walk-around of the building. We will look for any noticeable issues with the stucco or signs that moisture in the walls has made its way to the surface.
